Erosional and depositional landforms (Coastal)

This is Study 3 in the mapped area of East Coast Malaya. It provides information on the role and action of waves and their energy as they approach shorelines. The process of refraction in concentrating or dispersing energy is indicated by map and diagram. Terms such as surf zone, longshore drift, cliffing, wave cut platform and wave built terrace are shown in diagram and photographs. The aspect of climate change is introduced for students to consider in a "what if" proposal.
