A historical explanation text (therefore written in the past tense) explaining the most common theory regarding how the pyramids were built.
This resource contains many SPAG features up to and including Year 5 objectives (expanded noun phrases, fronted adverbials, rhetorical questions, parenthesis, relative clauses, subordinate clauses, cause and effect conjunctions).
The resource was used as a WAGOLL (what a good one looks like) text in hope that the children would go on to write their own historical explanation text about How Ancient Egyptians were mummified.
