This unit was created to accompany teaching of a Fantasy novel. It can be done during or at the end of exploring fantasy features in writing.
This includes;
- Fantasy roles and planning booklet
- Slide model for final presentation
- Film study essay document (extra)
This was and is an extremely fun way for students to explore the fantasy genre and practice their speaking and listening skills.
This is also modeled around the teaching idea of ‘Co-Operative learning’ - each member of the group has a distinct role and must work with everyone else to accomplish the task. No one can slack.
