Firework Maker's Daughter lessons based on chapter 1

This is a lesson based on the first chapter of Firework Maker's daughter by Philip Pullman.
It is suitable for year 4 but can easily be adapted.
It has low, medium and high risk activities on the powerpoint from which children can choose
their own level of activity.
It also has some extension activities which could also be lessons in themselves at a later date, including some reading comprehension questions which would be suitable for a guided reading
group.
