The lesson starts by using a video clip to introduce the definition and nature of floods. Then there is a task that help students to learn about the human and physical causes of floods. Finally the lesson explores the effects of floods using a couple of really engaging activities.
The lesson has a range of learning activities suitable to different types of learners; there are video clips and photos to make real the nature of floods. There is an animation clip to reinforce learning on the causes of floods. There is also an activity where students have to extract information from a still photo clip and a no commentary video clip.
