A GCSE SOW usually taught in Year 10.
Covers the AQA Assessment Objectives although it could easily be adapted to fit other exam board requirements.
Introduces students to making a Concertina Sketchbook and different drawing techniques focusing on plants and animals, for example continuous line, tonal pencil, mono-printing and coloured pencil studies.
Has several suggested artists for contextual research.
The project itself allows students to have a lot of freedom to explore the topic and experiment with a wide range of materials and processes.
Also has a 3D clay outcome included which could be used as an extension task towards the end of the project.
This project will easily last from September-December, if not longer.
