Based around the Flotsam text, begin with exploring the text and illustrations. Use prepositons and complete an activity based upon prepositions. Then move on to acrostic poetry, exploring similies and metaphors. Then think about how sound can be used by including rhyme, repitition, onomatopoeia and alliteration. The final task is a shape poem using all of the taught features of poetry.
