Hello,
I have created a PowerPoint on fractions of amounts. My style of teaching is where I have the presentation on the TV and then I complete the questions on the board. This doesn’t have the answers with the examples but it does with the questions.
The powerpoint starts of with
-worded examples for them to discover how to do the questions
-Numerator = 1, starts off easy, then bigger denominators (bus stop useful), decimals and then practice questions for them to complete.
-Numerator > 1, basic questions, simplifying fractions first, including units and then questions to complete.
-Worded questions to conclude their research.
-Increasing and decreasing with fractions
