Free Character Trait List is a simple yet effective 2 page handout and is a great way to increase vocabulary for character trait activities. I recommend printing one copy, double sided, for each student at the beginning of the year to save in their ELA binder so they can use it as a reference. This is a great addition to my Free Character Traits Comparison Worksheet at my store.

- Distribute the worksheet at the beginning of the lesson, you can choose to have students work individually or in groups
- Take a minute to go over the worksheet so students know what they need to be watching for throughout the story
- Check in on students throughout the story to see their progress
- Pause throughout the story and give examples of behaviors that demonstrate certain character traits
