Designed for a Y7 class, or Y8 foundation level recap, this task follows on from a previous resource where the NSA have tracked two French locals to a bar in Dinan and eavesdrop on the conversation of them ordering drinks, using Vouloir and a number of drinks (boissons).
Designed to be a stimulating PowerPoint, it requires the teacher to build up the image of the National Security Agency spying on this café in Dinan. A student can be nominated to “control” the satellite as it zooms in (this requires the teacher to have a PowerPoint remote control). Students can then practise using a waiter ordering “tab” to note down what their fellow class members would like. Then they need to add tax (20%) and work out how to say the total in French.
