This resource aims to introduce students to LGBTQ+ vocabulary as part of the new 2024 GCSE specification.

The lesson starts with a fun reading aloud activity in order to help improve students’ pronunciation through the introduction of some idiomatic language.

The lesson then progresses to some reading activities, where the reading tasks model text structures about different types of families. Students will finish the lesson by writing about their own family. In this way, they consolidate previously learnt vocabulary and can also apply some new vocabulary.
