The Language B high level (HL) contains the necessary vocabulary for describing a literary extract, the IB main themes and sub-themes, idioms, and idioms in context.Not only will this vocabulary equip students for their individual oral exam and provide them with the IB specific vocabulary they need for this important assessment, it will also give them an edge in all the other language skills. Students are required to use idioms in their individual oral, in their writing and recognize them for their listening and reading. I expected a more thorough guide because the title is misleading. It is in fact only a list of vocabulary. In HL students don't need to know how to say the themes and sous-themes in French. This information can be found anywhere. The list of idiomatic expressions is good but then this material should not be called French Oral Exam HL but just Vocabulary for the IB French Oral HL.
