Tattoos on the skin can sometimes create some prejudices. This is the topic that I suggest you cover in your EFL class with this teaching lesson. This resource is available in PDF and PowerPoint format.

Start-up: tattoos.

First, I suggest you show a picture to your learners and ask them to answer three questions. These questions will highlight the impact that tattoos have on a person.

Then you move on to a listening, which will be introduced by a short introduction to the subject.

The aim of the introduction is to describe life at school and what a good or bad teacher is.

Here is the listening on the man with tattoos.

Speakings and debates.

The aim of these exercises will be to compare your students’ opinions on what is unfair or risky. This activity will be done using three questions such as: "Would you leave your children with Sylvain?

The next activity is about giving your opinion on what is serious and what is not for a teacher.

For example: “Is it dangerous to have a teacher who constantly flirts with mothers?”

Some will say yes, others no! You will have eight such problems to discuss with your learners. Ideally you should draw a parallel with Sylvain’s situation.
