This booklet contains 10 worksheets on the key verbs required for GCSE success and answer sheets for more personalised AFL. The worksheets can also be used with KS3 students or for recapping with post-16 students. There are 4 differentiated worksheets focusing specifically on avoir and être in the present tense, but there are also sheets on verbs in the present and perfect tenses (regular only) as well as the imperfect, conditional , future and subjunctive tenses as well (regular and irregular).
The worksheets requires student to read an explanation of when tenses are used and how verbs are conjugated in the different tenses, research specific verbs as a model to follow and then conjugate additional verbs on the sheet. There is a task which involves translating some key verbs. An additional extension task would be to put additional verbs on the board and ask students to apply their knowledge to these other verbs whilst working in pairs, maybe on mini whiteboards.
