This product from Chez Nathalie is a fun activity, although it can be a serious assignment as well. (I have included an evaluation rubric.) The students are witches and they see a job offer in the newspaper (included). A haunted house owner is looking for a mean, scary, ugly witch to work for him to scare visitors. The students’ task is to write a cover letter and résumé to convince him that they are the best witch for the job. In the letter, they describe their face/body, clothing, and personality using appropriate scary adjectives. In the résumé, they describe their employment experience, education, and more! They even have to provide details about their broom flights and previous witch brews!
