Fresh orange juice
I remember it was a hot day with blazing sunshine in high summer and I was visiting Camden Town in London. We went into the shops and markets but it was so hot we had to keep outside. The atmosphere was vibrant with colours and sounds and smells. Then I saw it. A little mobile cart where a busy lady, hidden behind a mountain of oranges was hand squeezing them and adding ice and selling them in paper cups faster than she could make them. There was something about the ice glistening in the sunshine combined with the overpowering raw smell of the orange that was so mesmerising…
