A great resource on the topic of fractions. The are a range of functional skills style questions using fractions, designed to help familiarise learners with the style that Functional Skills Math's questions are written/presented.
I use this activity with both my Functional Skills Entry 3 and Level 1 learners, and with new Level 2 learners to quickly gain an understanding of their abilities. The activity can be easily adapted by tutors.
It is ideal for testing learners knowledge and application of skills in the following areas:

General arithmetic
Working with money
Comparing prices
Averages - mean
Estimating
The activity is laid out in the style/format of an extended Functional Exam Question. Learners must read and use the information given to them throughout the activity to assist them with the questions.
The activity also includes Challenge Questions, designed to challenge higher ability learners.
