I started out as a science teacher and made the transition to teaching ICT and Computer Science, which I have now been doing for over 20 years. I have also worked with primary school teachers to support their delivery of the national curriculum in computing.

This resource seems to have been updated and has some basic questions and some more challenging questions. Could be used in year 9 to understand the ability range to help option decisions.

This is ideal to check previous knowledge to new students to the school coming in at some point later than year 8. Will also help me identify students ability to apply themselves to some problem solving style questions without support?

Some acceptable questions but confused as to the age it is aimed at. It is advertised as KS4 baseline test but many of the questions seem to be aimed at much younger pupils (i.e. primary age or year 7 pupils will be able to answer many of the questions). Also some formatting issues with rows in tables split over pages. and 17 pages is a lot of printing if you were to print a copy for each pupil in a class.
