GCSE PE: Lesson power point including the advantages and disadvantages of hosting the Olympic Games, including and Olympic Games timeline of key events. The first part of the lesson identifies the positives and negatives of hosting the Games for a country and uses London 2012 and Rio 2016 as mini case studies.

The second part of the lesson includes a 'host city' task where students are to put together a poster presentation to bid for the 2024 Olympic Games to be held in their assigned city. Fully differentiated assessment criteria is used throughout in the way of 'Bronze, Silver and Gold' linked to A,B,C standard work. This was used during an observation lesson and worked really well with my Year 11 GCSE PE group.

There is also a student sheet that directly follows the power point. The student worksheet comes with differentiated learning outcomes according to target grade and follows a Bronze, Silver and Gold success criteria throughout. Students interacted well with this worksheet and it is ideal for later revision due to the nature of layout, images and text boxes.

Great, thank you, has adapted this slightly to work with the Cambridge Nationals Sport studies course and will be using for a fun induction lesson.
