GCSE - traditions and customs, culture et traditions

This pack is aimed at KS4 pupils studying the theme “traditions and customs”.

The first worsheet focuses on cultural elements and key vocab. The first exercise is a starter to encourage pupils to discuss what they already know about France (cities, countries, personalities, specialties).The second exercise is a match up to learn vocab related to traditions. The third exercise is a fill in the gaps about traditions, followed by a suggestion for a game.

The second worksheet focuses on opinions about traditions. There is first a reading, pupils will identify the tradition and whether the opinion is positive/negative. Finally, there are questions to either prepare for a discussion (using various tenses) or writing.
