This powerpoint can be used as part of any IGCSE or Secondary school course that looks at women´s rights, for example the IGCSE Global Citizenship course. It was designed for a classroom and teacher led, but it can be used for a cover lesson or home learning.
The PowerPoint incudes a starter, 2 research activities which include critical thinking and evaluation, facts about the UN organisation UN Women, and an integrated You tube video. There is an additional starter to use for the following lesson or can be used as a plenary.
Students can carry this out independently (2 lessons worth of material) or work in small groups, or the work could divide up and present cases for the named individuals and then the class could decide the most influential women.
