**Great Fire of London - History Mystery (Using primary sources) **
Great resource to use at the beginning of a teaching unit on The Great Fire of London.
Children all to receive an ‘evidence file’ from the National History Museum. Within this evidence file is a collection of envelopes for the children to open in groups one by one. Each envelope contains a copy of a primary source from the Great Fire of London.
Children have to solve the history mystery by uncovering the significant event from the clues within each source.
Resource includes a powerpoint presentation for the teacher to use alongside this lesson to reveal the meaning behind each source. Additionally, a worksheet for children to complete predicting each source.
