A detailed text all about foxes allows children to read at length for greater depth.
Children who are working at the expected have the text broken down into smaller chunks for easier accessibility.
This resource can be used in isolation as well as supporting material for the Fox unit by Margaret Wild- if its being taught in English.
The guided reading questioning included looking, inference, evaluative, and overall text questions. It is suitable for the New English curriculum and will suit teaching over 2 to 3 weeks or as extensive revision purposes leading up to SATs in year 2.
It is recommended that greater depth children move onto reading Fantastic Mr Fox after this unit is completed.
An additional Bats comprehension has been included for your use if you are teaching nocturnal animals.
