Guided reading set (question stars and timetable)

A selection of questions to be used throughout guided reading sessions.The set includes questions for pre reading which refer to the book, the author, what the story might be about etc. The during reading questions get children to think about the main characters, main events and predict what might happen and why. The post reading questions get children to summarize the story, think about what they enojoyed/disliked and consider the meaning of new words. There is also a blank guided reading timetable which can be edited to personalise. The questions are useful to develop inference, prediction and evaluation skills. I hope you enjoy them!
