Halloween Character Expression Cards

Suggested Ways to Use the Cards:

1. Recognizing Expressions: Encourage children to identify and name the emotions on each character’s face (e.g., happy witch, scared monster). Can they make the expression? When might someone make that expression?
2. Drawing Expressions: Use the blank-faced character card to let children draw an expression that matches the set or create their own unique emotion.
3. Colour Matching: Have children match the coloured cards to their black-and-white counterparts to reinforce visual discrimination.
4. Cut and Play: Cut out all cards and use them for matching pairs, encouraging memory skills by flipping them face-down for a fun matching game.
5. Storytelling: Have children create short Halloween-themed stories based on the characters’ expressions.
6. Sets: Children can collect sets e.g. happy characters and angry characters.
