These Halloween times tables games will engage students in KS2. Are your students working on multiplication and you are looking for some fun ways to practice multiplying numbers to increase their speed, confidence and accuracy in working out or recalling times tables facts? Your students will love these Roll, Multiply and Find activities as they practice their multiplication fact fluency, which is an essential mathematical skill.

The games will help to memorize and recall maths multiplication facts (for 6, 7, 9, 11 & 12 times tables) more easily and quickly. Multiplying will be something they will find fun to do as they find the answers and claim Halloween doughnuts.

The games are for students to play in pairs. Use them as part of a multiplication lesson to practice these skills or a stand-alone activity for students who need extra practice with times tables and prefer to play games rather than do lots of maths sheets. Checking that their friends have got the correct answer means that they have instant feedback if they have the answer right and if they disagree they can work it out together. Playing games such as these will give a competitive element for students to be super engaged and try harder.

Provide manipulatives such as Numicon, counters or Dienes or a number line to support learning, or encourage students to use their mental maths strategies to work out and find the answers.

We may know all these instinctively but students will gain a lot by having these mathematical concepts highlighted. These are great conversations to have over a fun game so that maths thinking becomes fluid and students have several strategies to fall back on that will help them with mental maths and when they are multiplying numbers in the future.

Here is what you will get:
  • 5 Multiplication Games in color and black and white for 6, 7, 9, 11, 12 times tables
