A literacy mat for use with the BTEC tech Health and Social Care internal assignments.
The ‘key vocabulary’ section of this mat is aimed at component 1 learning aim A. There are mats for the other 3 assignments in my shop.
This mat covers:
- command words, their meanings and grading level on the marking criteria
- useful connectives to achieve the command word marking criteria
- a checklist to proof-read work prior to submission
- punctuation and their uses
- common homophones
- common confusions when writing (e.g. it’s/its)
- useful words to transform a simple sentence into a complex one
- Key vocabulary to include when writing coursework for component 1 learning aim A.

Is very effective. However analyse is spelt the american way? Could this be changed and reshared please?
