A lesson focusing on key Hindu beliefs and teachings about the afterlife.
Students are taught key information to meet the outcome ‘I can describe Hindu beliefs about the afterlife, so I am able to discuss evidence and make comparisons.’ Studnets encouraged to consider the following questions:
What do Hindus believe about life after death?
What is meant by the key terms atman, reincarnation and samsara?
What is karma? How does it impact on a persons life?
Why do Hindus have these beliefs?
The lessons main activity is a fun game design to explain key Hindu beliefs about the afterlife.
Has been planned for KS3, but would be perfect for KS2 or lower ability KS4.

The PowerPoint does include some information regarding Hinduism and LAD but mainly consists of a snakes and ladders game (a good activity, but should not be the focal point of a lesson?) The resource is also extremely overstimulating - would need editing quite heavily for appropriate classroom use.
