year 1 history - focusing on the progression goal: I can use pictures to compare and contrast my life with my parent’s childhood.
**Unit of work ** Covering these 4 lessons:
**Lesson 1 **
I can use a family timeline (from Reception) to talk about the chronological order of my family.
**Lesson 2 **
Using primary sources (photos/talking with family members/artefacts e.g. toy/old phone) and through asking questions I can find out about my parents’ childhood.
**Lesson 3 **
I can compare photos and artifacts with talking to family members to say which source is the best and why.
**Lesson 4 **
I can understand and present the similarities and differences between mine and my parent’s childhood (toys, clothes, technology).
