This Hocus Pocus Movie Guide | Questions | Worksheet | Google (PG - 1993) challenges students to connect the 1692-1693 Salem Witch Trials to this scary Halloween movie. Ask students to explore and identify some of the things that the witches are unaware of, that have changed over the last 300 years. Use Winifred’s spell to resurrect Billy Butcherson as a model to prompt students to write their own spell in the form of a poem.

This resource consists of 11 high-level, short answer and essay questions that will do more than just ask your students to regurgitate information.
