Independent population investigation based on the town or city you live in.

12 page field study & research booklet aimed at independent research by KS3 pupils. (Can be used at KS4) Booklet contains "How average are you" where pupils compare themselves to the national stats for households. Includes a graveyard visit to determine life expectancy over time in a given location. Population pyramids and migration with surveys. Lots of graphing and analysis included with graph paper templates. The only changes you will need to make are to insert your school or town name where highlighted. You will need to add the population change data over time for your location. (A link has been provided) My pupils love it and they will have a local case study to support classroom learning at the end. Be careful, many pupils & parents get VERY enthusiast about it!
