In this plan the children will write an information leaflet for a class museum linked to dinosaurs. At the end of the Dinosaur topic, the children are to put on a museum for their parents, displaying everything they have made and learnt about dinosaurs. Never planned a class museum before? This English plan asks them to design and write an information leaflet that they will be able to give to their parents when they visit.

This plan includes 5 days of planning with the below WALTs:

1. Understand how a museum is organised.
2. Sort facts.
3. Sort opinions.
4. Identify the features of information leaflets.
5. Write an Information leaflet.

This plan includes 4 levels of differentiation;
Red 1 - SEN children
Yellow 2 - Main task with a scaffold
Green 3 - Main task
Blue 4 - Greater depth/ mastery challenge
