The PPT introduces the WJEC A-level English Language qualification to the students: it covers the course content, AOs, areas of study, methods of assessment.
It also includes a reflection WS that allows the teacher to get to know the students’ learning preferences and invites a discussion about HOW students will progress throughout the course. The reflection sheet is also an extremely useful tool to deliver student voice.
The PPT content will take an hour long lesson.
Copies of past exam papers will be valuable to facilitate a meaningful classroom discussion.
The PPT can also be easily adapted for other A-level exam specifications by simply changing examples of questions from the past exam papers.
