Introduction to Sonnets - Creative Writing

This simple lesson could be used with KS4 or high ability KS3 pupils as an introduction to the conventions of sonnet writing. Pupils are guided through each stage of writing their own sonnet, within the conventions of the form. This could be used as a stand alone lesson between , or works really nicely as an introduction to the study of Shakespeare’s sonnets. No additional resources are required for the teaching of this lesson.
