Well, the idea of a play to depict these two treaties is excellent! I have a dramatic group who will eat this up. That being said, there are a number of grammatical errors in the plays that I had to fix and two key historical errors. We didn't give Spain a right of deposit in New Orleans. That was their territory...we negotiated FOR a right of deposit in New Orleans. Second, the Jay treaty did get Britain OUT of the NW territory, but it didn't really address their working with the natives to attack Americans. This issue was never settled by the treaty. In fact Article III of the treaty allowed British "traders" undue access to the Native Americans and they used this access to continue the hostilities.
