KS 3 Sikh Celebration, Bandi Chhor Y7 & Y8

Aimed at Y7 or Y8 , a 1 hour lesson, exploring the Sikh festival of Bandi Chhor. Ideal for lockdown learning as it is all self-assessed with plenty of red pen reflection tasks. Can be used stand alone or part of a 6 lesson SoW. Each lesson contains an assessable outcome and there are three extended writing tasks across the SoW. Plenty of engaging activities with videos and challenges. There are opportunities to practice extended writing tasks with sentence starters and WAGOLLS. The 6 lesson SoW is accompanied by three differentiated work booklets, Higher, Middle & SEN ability. Designed to be easily accessed by non specialists, parents & pupils working independently. SEN booklets have the greatest degree of scaffolding aimed at reading age of 8 years, whilst the higher ability booklet is more suited to a reading age of 12 to 14 years.
