KS3 Acids and Alkalis

Interactive lesson starting with a fun activity at the beginning testing how well students can remember the hazard symbols using the mini whiteboards.

The lesson is for KS3 classes (I used it with bottom set Year 7 and it worked well). It is based on properties of acids and alkalis, where they can be found and an interactive activity where they can put some universal indicator into a selection of different liquids and identify if they are acidic, alkaline or neutral. Challenge activity provided for higher ability students.
