KS3 Algebra fully planned sequence of lessons (13 in total)

This is a sequence of algebra lessons, carefully planned to engage KS3 students. (could be used with foundation KS4 students)

Within this sequence of lessons, the lessons are:

1)Writing expressions
2)Simplifying expressions
3) Simplifying expressions with multiplying in
4) Using brackets (expanding)
5) Substitution (basic)
6) Formulae substitution
7) Solving simple equations (one step)
8) Solving equations (two step)
9) Problem solving with equations
10) Solving equations 2 (unknowns on both sides of the equals)
11) Expanding difficult brackets
12) Solving equations with brackets
13) Angles and Equations

Each lesson is fully planned and scaffolded, with printable resources and interesting activities. The lessons are fully engaging and differentiated to meet the needs of mixed ability classes, as well as setted groups. Although a set of sequenced lessons, each individual lesson could be used on its own, as a stand alone lesson.
