Originally developed for Y9, this scheme of work explores the dystopian allegorical classic Animal Farm before moving onto a creative writing unit where students will be able to apply the conventions of the dystopian genre in their own writing.
Skills for both literature and language papers are included and tasks are differentiated to ensure students develop a wide range of skills and passion for literature. All lessons and tasks are scaffolded , differentiated and contain success criterias. There are also a wide range of activities that gets students using oracy skills and moving around the room!
