Ku Klux Klan Violence

Why did the Ku Klux Klan resort to violence and terror as a means to achieve their goals during the Reconstruction era? This activity examines the realities of the violence of the KKK. Students will analyze the reading passage and answer the corresponding scaffolding questions.
