A vocabulary revison game
A good aid to learning vocab, usually used as a plenary.
A pupil sits in teacher's seat.
They have 1 minute in which to answer as many questions as possible (I usually do what’s the French / English for…)
In the minute, they are able to pass on only 1 question which they can come back to later if needed.
If they give an incorrect answer, it is game over!
Scores are recorded and whoever has the highest over a certain period of time (half-term perhaps) is the winner.
A second pupil is chosen as the ‘board tapper’. This student moves the slide forward on the Interactive White Board when a correct answer is given so the whole class can see the score.
A third pupil can be chosen as the time keeper and starts and ends the game using a stop watch.

Thank you for the idea. I'll try it with the less able instead of a boring vocabulary test. Should keep them on their toes.
Oops. Thank you for correcting my grammar phippskat. As for the PP not providing any content, I never said it did. It is simply meant as an aid to make the activity more interesting for those people not taking part!
nice idea. this is a nice idea, but the PP doesn't actually provide any content!! N. B. should be "teacher's seat"
