Linear Graphs Produce Shapes

These Six worksheets can be printed or simply displayed for students to work on paper, and they capture attention much better than text style line graphs.
Quadrant 1
1. Construction of a quadrilateral from vertices coordinates then finding the equations and their range for its sides.
2. For a given heptagon student’s state coordinates of vertices, the equations and range of its sides.
3. Construction of a Triangle from given equations then finding the coordinates of vertices and range for drawing only its sides.
4. Construct an “L shaped” hexagon by solving simultaneous equations to locate vertices.
State the full coordinates of each vertex needed to create the shape.

Quadrant 2 & 4
5. Construction of a Pentagon from vertices coordinates then finding the equations and their range for its sides, Quadrant 2.
6. For a given hexagon student’s state coordinates of vertices, the equations and range of its sides, Quadrant 4.
These activities are easily extended by asking students to create their own shape and treat this in a similar manner.
