The Maths White Board (MWB) site has been specifically designed to support a teacher’s/learner’s journey through a topic and the use of mini white boards. The site is packed full of differentiated Maths topics that have been beautifully scaffolded to lead users through a desirable teaching/learning sequence.

The software currently comprises of 3 main tools: MWB, WB RECALL and WB SECURE.

MWB - A powerful tool to support the use of mini whiteboards during classroom assessment. Questions are displayed in full screen.
WB RECALL - Ideal for recapping on the full breadth of a specific skill (starters/revision). 6 questions (1 at each level) is shown on the board.
WB SECURE - In order for techniques to be cemented into long term memory, sometimes we need to just give students a few similar questions for them to learn routines. This feature produces 6 questions at a single level and displays it on screen.

The MWB website is the perfect tool for classroom assessment but also massively reduces on the need for photocopying resources for students to use. The site has recently seen a lot of growth. Questions and features are being continually added. The most recent addition was the “LAST” tool: 4 questions on 1 screen to assess last lesson, last week, last topic and last term. This is great for starter recaps.
