Measuring activity involving capacity.

Fun, practical activity creating potions. Various capacity containers needed, as well as some drops of food colouring.
Students will need to following instructions and measure accurately. They'll also need to work in groups, assign roles and think creatively. A great lesson that can be extended to take up an entire morning if needed.
Amounts can be edited or deleted to differentiate, although mixed ability groups works best. You could also carry out an addition/subtraction task to discover which potion contains the most/least liquid etc.
