Part 3 of a mini SOW on Poetry. Students read and analyse the poem ‘Presents from my Aunt’.

1. Settler – discussion on the nature of presents & poetic technique recap.
2. Glossary task and poem read.
3. Imagery/Drawing exercise with extension tasks.
4. Descriptive techniques analysis grid.
5. Paragraph writing task with writing frames.
6. Plenary cube activity (Plenary cubes ready to print in the resources section of the ppt).
