Narrative Writing: Setting and Character

This lesson was designed for a Y8 class, mid-ability. They hated writing, but they love spooky stories. So I created these three lessons to help engage them in narrative writing.

Pupils are taken on a journey through 'Afterlife Academy' where they have been 'enrolled' following their 'sudden and grueling death'. The lessons worked towards an end of term assessment, which was to write a narrative based on childhood games - hence the lesson on ghostly games.
