This is a Power Point I have designed to show my students how to pronounce the sound-spelling correspondence ‘j’ in French at KS4 and KS3 level. As you may know, it is very important that we adapt our KS3 resources to include phonics and the new exercises linked to them from the new GCSE 2026.
This resource includes
- an introduction to the sound ‘j’
- a scaffolded dictation using the SSC j.
- a back to back read-aloud including the SSC j on the topic of ‘introducing myself’.
- an audio file for each activity.
There are a total of 3 slides and you will also find a selection of words for students to pronounce.
