Do you want to improve reading assessment in guided reading in your school? Use these assessment/records to help focus on the new content domains in reading as well as the reading objectives for your year.

Teachers could collect cross-curricular reading evidence as well as reading evidence from their Literacy lessons and Guided Reading- selecting relevant Content Domains and Performance Indicators on each record.
There is space for comments to be added that allows teachers to record evidence of reading skills e.g. discussion about vocabulary or oral work.
In addition, the teacher can record a judgement in the form of 1, 2 or 3.
1=some understanding and support needed.
2=growing independence and understanding.
3=worked independently and confidently.

This record will provide excellent evidence to inform any tracking system and for moderation purposes.
