This is a single lesson on Hooke's law and is aimed at developing investigation and data handling skills..
The lesson is split into three activities as part of scientific inquiry: Constructing tables, collecting data and plotting graphs.
The lesson is fully differentiated into Low, Mid, High and GCSE tasks and can be fully adaptable to any scale of learning (e.g. AWOL, 9-1).
Pupils will:
1. Setup an experiment that determine's how force and extension are linked
2. Design a table of results (with support for LAPs)
3. Collect results and calculate averages
4. Plot a graph for results using scaffold materials
