Nonsense Nursery Rhymes

A fun any day, or World Poetry Day / World book Day activity.
Here are 4 examples of nonsense rhymes that are made up of lines from other nursery rhymes.
Activities could include listing the rhymes contained in each example and making up rhymes of their own.
Children can choose a theme e.g. Frogs or the Sea or just use any rhymes they want to.
Make a display, folder or Big book of all the rhymes and share in an assembly or put in the library.
Younger children might benefit from the words and / or pictures for the rhymes they use.
